ジャーマン・メタルの雄 Blind Gurdian の6th。
Helloween的な疾走メタルにファンタジックなアレンジがウリの彼らですが
これはトールキンの「シルマリルの物語」をモチーフに、とことんファンタジックな
コンセプトアルバムに仕上がっています。曲数がやたら多いですが、その半分は曲間に挟まれる
1分弱のインストだったり。そのせいでかなり聴きにくいアルバムになってますが、
根気良く聴き込めば彼ららしい名曲の数々が転がっていることに気付くはずです。
「どうしても疲れる」という人は、MDやPC上などでインストを全てカットする聴き方をお勧めします。
実は僕もそうしてたり…代表曲でありメタル史に残る名曲 9.Mirror Mirror は必聴。
